Forge Monchieri S.p.A. guarantees workers’ health and safety

Forge Monchieri S.p.A. chose to be a system of interdependent elements working together for the fulfillment of a common goal:

To guarantee Forge Monchieri S.p.A. continuous economic development and to promote the organisation as a social asset.

The Board of Directors (BoD) decided to develop an integrated quality and environmental system, appropriate to the goals of the organisation and to the environmental impact of Forge Monchieri’s activities and products and for which it has UNI EN ISO9001 and UNI EN ISO140

01certification.

This system is shared by all levels of the organisation and guarantees the constant improvement in effectiveness of internal processes thanks to the following elements:

Quality planning and correct management and updating of all necessary documents.

Personnel and effective management of internal communication.

Environmental protection through the sustainable management of natural resources and of processes that may have an environmental impact.

Guarantee health and safety

We commit ourselves to guarantee health and safety

Forge Monchieri S.p.A. commits itself to guarantee the health and safety of all employees, suppliers, clients and all those involved in the company’s activities.
The health of our workers is protected through preventive measures which include health checks by the company doctor and by technical measures and safety procedures to prevent accidents. Forge Monchieri S.p.A. is equipped with a Prevention and Protection Service (PPS) as provided for by Legislative Decree 81/08.

This service includes: a Health Manager, a Health and Safety at Work Manager (HSW Manager), a qualified doctor, a workers’ representative for health and safety and other personnel according to need.

The service also includes staff trained in First Aid. The company has a programme for the implementation and certification of its management systems based on The Standard for Occupational Health and Safety Systems OHSAS 18001.
That integrates with systems of quality and environmental control and with the implementation of the company’s social responsibility system based on the SA8000 Standard.

Company’s social responsibility

Forge Monchieri S.p.A. commits itself to respect the current regulation in order to create a calm, welcoming and stimulating environment.

In order to create a calm, welcoming and stimulating working environment for our employees in which everyone can contribute to the improvement of the company, the management aims to ensure that the whole organisation complies with the current regulations and relevant international workers’ rights charters.

In particular the company commits itself to SA8000 INTERNATIONAL STANDARD certification that lists the requirements for ethical behaviour of companies and production chains towards their workers.  To this end, the company commits itself:

Not to use or accepting child labour

To guarantee that all company workers lend their labour voluntarily.

To guarantee the workers or whoever is involved in the company’s activities a safe and healthy working environment.

To employ every necessary resource to avoid accidents by removing hazards in the workplace. through the removal of workplace hazards.

To respect the freedom of each worker to form or adhere to a union of their choice and the right to collective bargaining.

To guarantee equal opportunities and to exclude discrimination of all kinds.

To guarantee that the existent disciplinary procedures are those proscribed by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and to promote the respect and the collaboration between workers, safeguarding each worker’s moral integrity and rights.

To respect the contractual hours of each employee according with the provision of the CBA. Overtime is paid in accordance with the provision of the CBA.

To guarantee each worker remuneration in proportion to the quantity and quality of the work undertaken, sufficient to ensure him and his family a dignified income.

To introduce discriminatory measures towards those suppliers/subcontractors who do not respect the rights of their workers, in compliance with the aforementioned requirements.
